My takeaway…
It is easy to read this quote from its negative application. It well-expresses how the secretive ‘bad stuff” gets magnified with each passing generation, until it is no longer a secret.
But this principle also has a positive aspect. Good character and quality traits that parents may model quietly can become the defining marks of their children’s identities.
At least, that’s what I heard.
