“Everyone needs to hear that you do not have to be defined by your past and that guilt and shame can be removed through the redeeming power of Christ.” – David Mike
I learned about David Mike’s story through his website, Dilemma Mike. While in the army in 1989, Mike was using and selling drugs, went AWOL, and ended up being arrested and imprisoned at Ft Leavenworth.
This August 1st he is releasing his self-published book, “Dishonor, One Soldier’s Journey from Desertion to Redemption.”
For years this story had been told in passing and in pieces. I have finally come to the point in my life where I feel God wants me to share it. To quote Max Lucado “This is the kind of mess God can use for good.” – David Mike
Mike writes honestly about his sin and failure, and passionately about Christ’s redeeming love. He writes to offer hope to those who battle with a broken identity and shame from past (or present) failure.
And he is asking for our help…
If I want to reach prisoners and other people who are burdened by their past, I will need the help of a loyal team.
My Goal: To get Dishonor into the hands of 500 people on the official release date, August 1st. If we hit Amazon bestseller status, the potential to expand the reach of this message is much greater—including seeing it in prisons.” – David Mike
