I enjoy reading the writing of Jake Lira. Not only are his words expressive; the presentation of his words is artistic. (I’m imitating him just a little with my own illustration today, but his method is much cooler.)

His words communicate struggle and speak with the courage of one who has battled and accepted the price that battle requires.
His message reminds me of this….
Without the battle, there can be no victory.
That statement sounds too wise and profound to be my own. Perhaps I’ve heard or read it somewhere.
I’ve been battling discouragement. I feel caught in endless battles. And yeah, in my discouragement I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself.
And so I need reminded of what I’ve just told you,
